You're at the end of a heavy bulk and appetite is gone. You're 180 lb now, eating 4,000 calories, and genuinely struggling. Some of your protein needs to come without dragging fat along. Whites help.
You're building a high-protein dessert. Egg whites whip. Yolks don't. If you're making protein pancakes or a meringue-topped anything, whites have a functional job.
